Well the year is almost over, and what a year it has been There have been many changes in my life and I have been working hard to sort myself out. However now that things are a little bit more on track, I hope that 2008 can be a far more productive and successful year for many aspects of my life.

But before I end the year, I’ll finish off with one last update~ I’ve added Xiaoyu Ling to Extreme Motion. I didn’t want to add her till I was 100% finished with the costume, but in order to wear this costume I had to cut myself some bangs which I am desperately trying to grow out at the moment. Not wanting to cut myself another set of bangs anytime in the near future I doubt I’ll be able to model this costume soon So I’ll add it to the site and see what happens

Woo! Got around to adding Eureka to eXmotion, and I changed the layout a while back but forgot to mention it here~ I think some of the links in the events section are still down or old, so I’ll fix that soon! I’m not 100% on this layout, so hopefully I’ll have the time to change it again during the Christmas break… not to mention, SuzakuNU will be 8 years old next year. Wow! I should update the layout too hehe

Finally getting around to doing some revamping at Extreme Motion~ I’m going to try and implement a system that is a little like that at cosplaylab.com to help maintain the site in the long run~ :3 If it works out, I’ll try and package it for others to use

Also wanted to ask Sefie and Shi-tenshi, would it be okay if I linked you two? I know your cosplay websites aren’t 100% done, so I wanted to check before I did just incase And any other Aussie cosplayers who want to do a link exchange, just link me and then let me know and I’ll return the favour! ^_^

Fixed up Oceanid‘s new layout! Please tell me whether it still looks like crap, etc! >_O I finally downloaded firefox and officially hate it. But when again, a lot of people probably hate IE so fair is fair >_O

New layout for Oceanid! See? Exam time is coming, so Flipper will be the bad student she is and waste all her time designing layouts! XD Also took away the visual log, it was honestly a pain to maintain And kinda pointless too since all the photos ended up in higher quality in reminise! So yep, all future personal photos will just go straight there~

Yeah, pink! First time doing this kind of colour for Flipper *_* Pink is nice! This layout has lots of “S” in it’s title O_o! Shades of Sheet Satin -> Sessions Seven!

Today was supposed to be a productive good day, and now it’s just shot to hell.

JaguarPC/Aletia was the host for WateraCC (and unfortunately still is since they won’t do any refunds) and this morning I found all the files gone. Apparently they claim to have had some server problems and everything was gone.

This should be fine because all companies make backups right? Wrong. Not this one, apparently Flipper experiences the problem because she recently upgraded the server to handle PHP 5 (for a Uni project) and ever since then the server has been shakey. But hey, if JaguarPC offers the service, I trust they have tested it on their servers and are certain it will work, no worries.

So very wrong. And when they provide backup, what they mean if they expect YOU to give them the backup so they can load it back onto the server…. Yeah, that really makes a lot of sense O_o;

So yeah, once the contract ends that’s IT! Flipper will change to a different server and try her luck there, JaguarPC has been good up until now, but right now they are not handling any of this correctly. They don’t have any backups, or rather, they claim they do perform backups, but just not in THIS particular case. Thanks a lot!

Maybe if I’m feeling up to it I should post this at WebHostingTalk or something Any form of venting always helps right?

Anyone got any good host recommendations?

Flipper = total shock right now… ALL her files on WateraCC have GONE! Every single last one! And considering one of her Uni related stuff was on there (luckily her team made backups) she’s beyond pissed right now.

Unless they are back with a really really really good explaination, expect bad reviews from Flipper about this particular host… and a host change of course! >_______________________<

Edit: Oh wow! Got a reply from them, apparently they didn’t make any backups! Even though their FAQ pages say they do!… this is going to be a long day and Flipper is not letting this “accident” go without a big big fight now. And no one should tell Flipper that using PHP 5 caused the server to have problems, don’t offer PHP 5 if your server can’t handle it! -_-;

Probably the worst place to ask something like this, but why do alot of non-LJ users hate LJ so much? Or maybe they don’t, and Flipper has just had the mis-fortunate to visit weblogs that do hate LJ. Either way, what’s wrong with it?

Gave WateraCC a new layout, not that it’s really much of a layout~ But it’s better than nothing *_*

To the visitors of SuzakuNU, don’t send Flipper emails that aren’t in proper English Don’t open your email with, “erm… hi”, or fill it with silly slangs such as “dats” or “wif”. Email sounds like you no likes Flipper, so why emails Flipper if you no likes her? She cry

Getting stressed over Manifest :_: These last two weeks were Flipper’s free-est weeks, and she spent them both being sick and sleeping. Now she has busier weeks ahead of her, so less time to sew… Well, if she can’t get costumes done in time, she’ll have to throw together something simple and last minute *tears*.

New layout! I know I have no creativity, what with using the same colour scheme and main image ^^; Flipper hopes she made it more user friendly, because on the old version she got complaints that people couldn’t read the text. Anyways, any complains or suggestions for improvements are always welcome~ <3 Just need more actual content XD;;
