100% Expert Panic Attack Full Band

    Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Come on! You gotta admit, this is pretty damn epic.

That is the dream~ (I know, I’m such a high achiever! lol) I’d record my own attempt, but it’s rather embarrassing compared to this :(

    Sif you could do better…

    Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

..you probably could, please don’t try and challenge me and bust my ego :(

This is probably the hardest piece for me, this and one more are the only pieces I can’t do guitar hard on… I managed to here because as a collective band we managed overdrive most of the time ahaha.

    Is it home time yet?

CSS3 and HTML5 cheat sheets FTW!

Recently was introduced to a show called WCG Ultimate Gamer, can’t say I’m the biggest fan because I don’t think it was an accurate representation of gamers :/ (Hi, PC gamers?) Seemed a bit too sensationalised, which is something I tend to hate in most tv shows as it starts to lose their depth. But alas, that’s entertainment right? My favourite is certainly Robert Paz, that hair and those contact? I want to steal them! And even though Dante is a wuss, I always have special respect for fellow cosplayers!

Oh, and I’ve joined the world of iPhone. Yes, I’m one of you now! Happy!?

    SIMS 3, addict much?

    SIMS3 Game Pickup
Game Shop Owner – Because you pre-ordered, you were suppose to also get a SIMS3 mouse pad. But that has come late, so as an apology, EA Games have pre-ordered and given you $10 towards the next SIMS3 expansion.
Me – What!? They just assume I’ll want the expansion? What happens if I don’t want the expansion? Then I get nothing?
    Game Shop owner -
Me – I said IF I didn’t want the expansion…. now wheres my $10 credit voucher?

Probably played about 4-5 hours worth since I got the game last week, the interface is a little off putting (given how sleek I thought SIMS 2 was) BUT the gameplay itself is a lot better! It’s not time consuming and “tunnel vision” as it used to be, the whole family is in real-time together! So I can focus on growing the family together, and it’s a nice challenge to monitor everyone at once :)

Graphics wise, the leap between 2 and 3 isn’t as large as 1 to 2, but it’s noticable, and really it was the game play that had the most drastic and welcoming change to it :)

If you are like me, and need a break from WOW now and then, this is a good alternative :)

Dropping an addiction, setting some goals

    Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

For the most part I don’t consider myself addicted, but I thought the subject still fitted the topic of the post. Recently an unfortunate incident occurred on WOW, and it made me take a step back and realise I was very slowly giving up my youth to a video game.

Now, there isn’t anything wrong with playing video games! But it only becomes an issue when it not only takes away too much of your time, but emotionally you become too drawn in, the latter more closely represented my situation. Which is not an easy thing to admit. (Oh hi, I’m really down cause my guild leader told me off last night in guild chat… no I’m not a nerd at all!)

So in celebration of my new found mental and physical freedom, I thought I’d set some short-term goals for myself to keep me on track :)

    WEB
    - Give Waterscape an actual layout (I know you guys love this default WP layout so much tho)
    - Re-organise the content on Celina Lee Online (included hosted sites), including new layouts
    - Launch a couple of new sites currently still in the making
    - Set up my own lesson plans and progressively learn more about PS and Flash (11 years and I still use PSP, no judgment!)
    - As a result of the above, try my hand at more digital art
    - Research more web technologies
    - Ensure my updates are more consistent and somewhat interesting

    MUSIC
    - Practice my pieces consistently!
    - Continue doing research on my composers and music history
    - Aim to reach examination level

    FASHION/COSPLAY
    - Plan and shoot at least 1 new costume / concept every month
    - Repair and alter a growing pile of clothes and costumes
    - Become more proactive within the online fashion & costume community

    MAKEUP
    - Organise all my makeup! It’s everywhere O_O
    - Organise all my nail polish (would you judge me if I told you the number of bottles I have are in the triple digits?)
    - Develop some new makeup concepts / tricks, either for future use or shoots

    WORK
    - Continue to grow my freelancing business, working closely with my team mates
    - Remain focused on my full-time & part-time jobs
    - Look into ways to improve my productivity

    HEALTH & FITNESS
    - You know what, I’m not even going to bother because it won’t get done! And if by some miracle it does? Then… pigs truly do fly.

Not to shabby, I’ve got a few more, but I don’t want to set myself up for failure so these will do for now :)

    First Tier 7 Item

    Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

I realised I blog so little about my gaming life, despite it consuming an unhealthy amount of it. I managed to run my first official guild raid last weekend, we cleared Obsidian Sanctum + 0 and the Arachnid Quarter in Naxxramas. The second day we attempted with the Plague Quarter, but unfortunately most of the healers couldn’t perform the dance correctly on Heigan :(

Oh well, next week! The good news is despite being what I consider to be a casual gamer, I managed to score my first Tier 7 piece of gear, Heroes’ Frostfire Gloves :) Patch 3.1 will probably be out before I get the next piece, but I’m happy for now! :)

    Wrath of the Lich King

    Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Guilty as charged! My love for World of Warcraft began many years ago, right when it first started in 2004. I’ve never been a serious gamer, I mainly solo and do the occasion instance and raid when time permits with my friends and guild members :) Overall, it’s affordable and a nice little addition to my recreational life :) Some people have Foxtel, I’d rather WOW hehe.

If you didn’t know, my main is a lvl 70 Frost Gnome Mage, and with the introduction of the expansion I’m looking forward to the following:

    • Getting to level 80, being the highest level is a priority if you want to attend the most interesting raids, obtain the best loot and skill up (Tailoring / Enchanter) :)
    • Exploring Northrend! Since the introduction of achievements, I’m keen to obtain “the Explorer” title, which I can only get through exploring the new maps. Not to mention, I’m generally keen to see what new areas Blizzard has created :)
    • Discovering the new dungeons, upgrading my equips and weapons and discovering new mounts! I just recently saved up enough gold (through repetitive dailies) to obtain my epic mount :) I’d love to see whether in the new maps we can go faster than 280%!
    • Finishing off my rep, call it the “collector” in me, but I love having Exalted rep with as many places as possible, it’s a long and tedious process, but it’s something I can easily do if I only have 30 mins a day to play :)
    • Raids, I do love raiding, working in a good team has always been my thing! The down side is an average raid can easily go over 4 hrs, and for me with all my jobs and commitments I just don’t have that sort of time for a video game :( I try to do 2 a month if I’m lucky, but for the most part I’m happy to listen to my friends talk about their experiences :)

For us Aussies, the expansion is officially launched on Thursday (13th of November) at Midnight, there will be a Midnight Launch just outside the EB store at Melbourne Central~ I personally won’t be attending as I will be at home rushing (as always) to get my costume for Egames Expo done this weekend :) But I’ll be sure to pick up my copy of the expansion on Friday sometime :D Exciting!

    Sonic! My Gaming Dream :)

    Saturday, November 18th, 2006

    Me (as Mint) – *stares*

    Sonic – *stares*

    Me – :D DDD!!!

Sonic – *walks over, pats Flipper on the head and touches ears*

Me – *_______* *reaches up to touch Sonic’s ears*

Sonic – *walks off to take photos with other screaming gamers*

    Me – *explodes*

Kidding! Though I was more like, “Sonic touched my ears!! I’ll never wash these ears again!!! *____*”. Argh, too bad we forgot to bring a camera in otherwise I would have taken a photo with Sonic ;_; When I heard there would be a Sonic mascot there I was all excited, and then when I actually saw him I crawled into a corner because I was SOOOO shy and nervous! Eventually I just stood there with puppy eyes and Sonic noticed me :D D And I could to touch his ears XDD

For those who don’t know, Sonic has been my No.1 favourite gaming character, was also the first ever console game I played back when I was like 8 or something. I LOVE him, and HATE Mario ever since I saw an image of mario pan-frying poor Sonic! ;_; Death to you Mario, Love for Sonic!! I met Sonic, my gaming life is happy!!! Yayayay~

XD Back to normal, I’ll write a real report over at Extreme Motion later, since we weren’t allow cameras IN the gaming area (despite almost everyone bringing them) I don’t have photos ;_; Though I did do a quick shoot of my Mint costume outside the MEC which I’ll upload later :)

    Gaming Expo

    Tuesday, October 10th, 2006

    Anyone else going to EGE this year? Come to think of it, I don’t have many online gaming friends to begin with o_o;

Anyways, I’ll probably be there with some friends and family :) My other cousin (who is the most obsessed gamer I know) is coming to visit us, and his visit just so happens to land during EGE! I reckon Nils might be there since he’s the top student in his degree and our Uni is advertising the degree, so maybe? But let me know if you’re coming ^_^

Yay! More things to look forward to, I can’t wait to finish Uni! *dances*

    Pains of online gaming

    Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

    *haha* NOT funny to kill entire mobs on WOW only to have some idiot waiting from behind so they can run in and steal the chest. Sometimes I think common courtesy just flies right out the door on this games :P Now I remember why I stopped playing! @_@;;

Eric Jordan is a genius (and my long-time online hero), if you’re in need for some chillout inspiration, check out his latest mixes.
