Manifest 2009 has come and gone, I made three new costumes and have photos of none! First still needs it’s own shoot, the second had props that were destoryed due to strong winds (so need to fix those and do a shoot) and the last had such massive props, I didn’t want to risk bringing it and having those props also killed by the strong winds
At least I managed to add the final details to my old Xiaoyu Ling costume and snapped a few new shots
Just waiting for the weather to improve, so much excitment to be had!
I contemplated whether or not I should upload a silly photo for the post, or a serious one. Since I’ve already bombarded my other accounts with goofiness, figured time to be a little serious. That and I kinda like the lighting in this photo
As you can see my Snow White costume is finished, I wore it to Supanova and you can click here for all the details you want (and probably some you didn’t!)
The photoshoot while not great, was fun! I had literally 7 little children follow me around, like A-chan mentioned, it was like working in Disney land! The kids thought I was real lol
Back from Egames Expo 2008 with little to report, but at least I has a new costume? Chai Xianghua from Soul Calibur 2! I actually really love this costume, the cut of the top and I think the brown looks surprisingly good on me (makes me want to dye my hair brown!) Head over to Extreme Motion to have a look at all the photos from the shoot, I’m so disappointed that I couldn’t finish the sword in time, and for some reason I forgot to wear the earrings too! *sad* Oh well, next time! I’m sure this costume will make another appearance some time down the line~
Egames was meh, probably all the exciting people were gone playing Lich King lol. Another gaming costume already finished, just need time to shoot it!
Last Friday I was lucky enough to take the day off to attend Melbourne’s annual Good Food & Wine Show, I had a blast as I do each year (been attending since 2006). Mountains of foods to sample, to buy, lots of interesting tips and shows to watch. I wanted to make this post earlier to encourage any Melbournians to attend if they can as the show ended on Sunday However there are more to come interstate, check out the website for dates. If you love food (and who doesn’t!?) this is worth it, entry fee is not that pricey, and is well worth it for the experience alone
Over the weekend, managed to spend a little time on eXmotion and finally added photos and reports for Manifest 04, 05 and Minifest 06. I will be adding Manifest 06 and Animania 06 soon, and then I will finally have to get around to writing up reports for the rest that don’t currently have links! I also did a short, but interesting photo shoot over the weekend, it was just me in my normal clothes, but it was the first test night shoot I tried (and I learnt a great deal), so I will upload photos soon
To welcome the new year, I created a new costume! It’s an original design (godness… the more original designs I do, the more I love them, don’t be surprised if I become a cosplayer turned costumer! Being original and creative is addictive!!) created mainly cause I wanted to see what it was like to create wings for once!
The dress was cheap and simple, and the wings were painful to make but I learnt so much that if I do another pair I’ll have lots of good ideas to use *_* So go checkout my photos
I wanted to post about my latest photoshoots One of them is the one you can see in my icon~ Me putting on abnormal amounts of eye makeup in an attempt to look evviiil *evil eyes*.
The other one was of Mizuno Ami~ Ahh, I may not watch Sailormoon anymore, but Sailor Mercury still holds a special place in my heart
This photoshoot was very different from all the others I’ve done, for one it was indoors (meant to be outside, but it was freeezing that day) and this time I thought I’d try and finally play around with the set to make it look like something from an artbook! I’m trying to move away from more traditional photos, and towards more artbook images! So my photos look more like.. artwork? Dunno if I’m making much sense, looong day @_@;
I had to adjust the lightening in the photos thanks to the cloudy day, but otherwise the photos are all Toby’s doing! I’m so lucky to have such a talented person always willing to shoot with me ^___________^ <3
Yeah, I’ve been slow with photos and such this year! I’m usually really fast, but you know~ Extreme Motion has been updated with all the photos Toby took at Manifest 2006 (minus a few more I still haven’t had time to re-size etc). Also I managed to create two new-ish costumes!
Kozue is brand new, and Mint is a remake of the old~ I’m really happy with how Mint turned out, especially when compared to the old! As for Kozue, I wish I had choosen better fabric for the pants, too many wrinkles in it :/ And the wig after three dye jobs still didn’t hold it’s colour well! Something I’ll have to keep working on when I have time.
PS: sunseenli! You are more than welcome to use my Kozue images for your website if you like I’m not at home at the moment so I can’t email them to you Email me if you have any questions! *^^*
