    Make up, Working life

    Friday, September 1st, 2006

    Taking my first steps into the designer world (well kinda, already got some Lancome and Dior), and bought myself some MAC makeup! It’s a big deal, because a while back I mentioned how terribly shy I am of even talking to the ladies at those perfume/makeup counters at DJ/Myers. So the fact that I managed to sit there and let the lady try out shades on me is as I said, a big deal! And for the makeup conscience, I got a Studio Fix compact and pot of eye shadow~ I love how strong and vibrant the colours of the eye shadows are at MAC, so much better than the stuff I get at Target >_<; I’m really looking forward to working full-time and allowing myself to “upgrade” my life in small ways here and there. Higher quality clothes, food, products etc.

    I mean, I probably can do that now seeing as I work part-time, but I never really saw the point is dressing up and really “caring” much about my appearance seeing as it’s just part-time work and Uni, I rarely brush my hair let alone wear any form of makeup :O Afterall everyone still sees me as a Uni student. I figure, I’ll cherish these years when it’s completely fine to look like a bum, then next year when I need to dress up more for work, I’ll let my own fashion move in that direction. That and it’s nice to look at my bank account and not feel like the hours I work (and hence sacrifice from my studies) is for nothing, that I’m atleast starting to create my own savings for my future :)

    Hah, the only thing about work I do not look forward to is having to wake up uber early to take the train into the city every morning :( Unlike now when work starts at 9am, and somehow I can still wake up at 8:30am and manage to stagger into the office on time XD;

    Expensive taste

    Friday, October 21st, 2005

    :P I REALLY want to go buy expensive MAC makeup from those expensive type counters with those really made up/pretty girls~ But those girls scare me :( They always keep approaching you, and watching you and I never look pretty enough to be shopping around that section in my no make up face, glasses and icky tomboy clothes (haha, you tend to not care what you look like when all your friends are sloppy men :P j/k!!) >_O I feel the same way about expensive clothing/bag shops! I know I know :P It’s all about self-esteem…, which I am currently lacking!

    *hehe* That’s why all my makeup will continue to come from the chemist or Priceline cause no one there keeps bugging you~

    I’m a twit sometimes :X

    Uni is OVER, exams are BEGINNING! Will make contact again on the 2nd of November when exams are OVER!!! ^_______________^
