Last night I was going through my four boxes of anime & manga goodies You know, plushies, badges, mobile phone chains, stationary etc etc.
Toby – Why is everything still in it’s original wrapping?
Me – Because it’s so nice, I want to keep them new
Toby – You mean you want to keep them in mint condition
Me – Yeah!
Toby – Like geeks do with Star Wars figurines
Me – ._.!

Since getting my own DSLR, I’d really love to attend a convention and focus on taking great photos of the beautiful cosplayers etc.
On the other hand… I can’t attend a convention and NOT cosplay, it’s not in my blood. And the anal cosplayer in me refuses to walk around with a fat camera only to have to get someone to hold every time I pose for photos and to potentially drop my baby while it constantly gets past.
Ah.. a geek’s dilemma.
BTW, Big Bang Theory FTW, I’m totally over the fact that I get the jokes and that they pretty much have snapshots of my life up there. Respect.

CSS3 and HTML5 cheat sheets FTW!
Recently was introduced to a show called WCG Ultimate Gamer, can’t say I’m the biggest fan because I don’t think it was an accurate representation of gamers :/ (Hi, PC gamers?) Seemed a bit too sensationalised, which is something I tend to hate in most tv shows as it starts to lose their depth. But alas, that’s entertainment right? My favourite is certainly Robert Paz, that hair and those contact? I want to steal them! And even though Dante is a wuss, I always have special respect for fellow cosplayers!
Oh, and I’ve joined the world of iPhone. Yes, I’m one of you now! Happy!?

I have a weakness for cute things… I don’t even have to know what they taste like / do. If it’s cute, and affordable (so I do have some limitations!) I’ll get it! That’s what happened with me at the candy shop yesterday (I still visit candy shops ). I saw these colourful cute little things called UFO Sherbets! Soooo cute….. but they taste like cardboard with sherbets inside @_@
Another smart move brought to you by me!

Back when I was 18 I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish before I turned 25. I can’t remember exactly, but it probably contained about 10 goals. I’m happy that I completed a good majority of them without even realising it (I’ve long since lost the list) But there have always been two particular goals that I remembered distinctively and continue to put off: Learn to speak / write both Japanese and Chinese.
As a result, two weeks ago I decided I wouldn’t put it off any longer, I would just dive in and do the best I can. Luckily, my entire family speaks Chinese so I’m lucky there. With Japanese, I decided to go back to what helped me learn in high school, anime and manga! (Yes, suddenly feeling rather maternal over SuzakuNU)
I can tell a lot has changed in me from my days as a teenagers drooling over all the びしょうえん Currently watching ふしぎ ゆうぎand かみかぜ かいとう ジアウンagain (yes, all the しょうじょstuff) and the storylines almost make me want to gag lol! But thanks to my history with these series, I can still appreciate what I saw as a teenager. Not to mention their pronunciation is clear enough for me to pick up what they are saying!
My next goal is to start translating all the manga I still have (so lucky I didn’t decide to throw every single one out). I’ll know if I can do that, I can finally visit Tokyo without fear of language barriers
(Note: For the extremely picky, I may have gotten some of my hiragana wrong… but hey! Work in progress!)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds smoking to be disgusting.
Honestly, if you want to kill yourself, please do it away from the rest of us. I can’t tell you how many times I will have JUST stepped off a train, in a crowd of people dashing to get to their cars and some idiot will light up IN THE MIDDLE THE CROWD. Apparently smoking kills brain cells
Listen, I have nothing against smokers per say, some of my closest friends smoke. But they are considerate. They understand not everyone necessarily wants to breath in the by products of a death stick and so step away to give me room to actually live.

One aspect of the internet I really hate is how easy it is to plagiarise someone. And I don’t mean, being inspired or following certain concepts for other artists. I mean, down right, take your photos and claim them as your own. Stealing in its most clearest form, and please don’t come to me saying that anything on the Internet is free-for-all. I would have to respectfully disagree.
I find it really disappointing because every time I take a photo, create a piece of art, all I want to do it share it on my website freely. I personally really dislike plastering my “copyright” text all over my works. I feel it really takes away the original intend and meaning behind the piece But if I don’t do that, give it a few days and some idiot will have it on their site, claiming all the credit @_@
Honestly, humans are their own worst enemy.

Don’t you just love it when you’ve spent a good 4-5 hours working hard to create this beautiful masterpiece of art… only to find out the exactly same art can be created by a piece of software in under 5 minutes?
No wait, I HATE when stuff like that happened!

I hate going to the hairdressers.
There I said it. I don’t hate the hairdresser, I just hate the process. I hate that vulnerable feeling, whether it will come out the way I wanted, whether the hairdresser knows the length of “2 inches off”. Those forced conversations when I honestly just want to say “I don’t like idle talk”, but won’t because this is someone holding a razor to my head!
I haven’t visited a hairdresser in a good 2 years, and I think the fact that my hair has gone past my waist is good evidence of that. But I’m so sick of long hair. 5% of the time I like the look, 95% of the time it get caught in everything and everywhere, I malt like there is no tomorrow. It tangles as fast as a seagulls to chips, but combing it can actually hurt unless I have about 30 minutes spare to just stand there and comb bit by bit, pull out loose hair etc.
But like I said, I hate going to the hairdressers… man it’s going to be an interesting weekend.
