Manifest 2008 was both good and bad, but the company I had made it all worth while Just wanted to leave a quick note regarding my new costume~ Seth Nightroad, click the image to the right to see more! Hope you enjoy~ I have so much more to type about, but need more time!

To welcome the new year, I created a new costume! It’s an original design (godness… the more original designs I do, the more I love them, don’t be surprised if I become a cosplayer turned costumer! Being original and creative is addictive!!) created mainly cause I wanted to see what it was like to create wings for once!

The dress was cheap and simple, and the wings were painful to make but I learnt so much that if I do another pair I’ll have lots of good ideas to use *_* So go checkout my photos

Well the year is almost over, and what a year it has been There have been many changes in my life and I have been working hard to sort myself out. However now that things are a little bit more on track, I hope that 2008 can be a far more productive and successful year for many aspects of my life.

But before I end the year, I’ll finish off with one last update~ I’ve added Xiaoyu Ling to Extreme Motion. I didn’t want to add her till I was 100% finished with the costume, but in order to wear this costume I had to cut myself some bangs which I am desperately trying to grow out at the moment. Not wanting to cut myself another set of bangs anytime in the near future I doubt I’ll be able to model this costume soon So I’ll add it to the site and see what happens

Despite the extra odds mounted against me, through sheer luck and help from Toby I managed to get Xiaoyu Ling to a reasonable level. Reasonable enough to wear, for it to be recognisable, but not reasonable enough for me to do a photo shoot with yet. I still need to redo the hair and wrist bands (I threw together some quick ones for the day), add the shoulder feathers, add the extra designs to the back and shorts and finish adding trim to the shoes. Once I’ve done all that, I will definitely be having a proper photo shoot at a far more appropriate location than Egames hehe. But here’s a preview shot for you guys anyways Don’t know if anyone notices the difference in quality with this photo since it’s small, but there is a huge difference now that Toby is using his own DSLR camera, which is just full of awesome!

As for Egames Expo, not as great as last year I reckon. There were more games to play, but you just couldn’t play anything without standing around for a good 30mins to 1 hr and I feel a lot of the stuff was very “beginner” gamer, stuff any gamer would know On the plus side, Toby was featured in an interview about MMORPGs that will/was on radio and will be featured online! And I got approached by a couple of models helping advertise some of the games, asking me to contact them about some modelling opportunities. I’m no model, but if what they meant was more along the lines of, model cosplay for advertising or something, that would be all kinds of awesome! Will have to look more into it Awesome!

I’ve gotten to a point that I doubt I’ll finish the costume in time for Egames tomorrow. I could still wear it, but the anal perfectionist in me feels like I’m killing my costume love if I go without making it perfect and complete. Which sucks It’ll be the first time I attend a convention without a costume, but perhaps that in itself will be a good experience?

I guess this means you guys can look forward to a few awesome photo shoots with Summer as I have a heap of costumes just waiting to be photographed by the very talented Toby once I have the time and good weather!

Currently working on a costume for this weekend (though it won’t be finished, it’ll hopefully be good enough to wear) and I did the most stupidest thing >_O I did a tiny miscalculation and placed the collar about 1 cm off the middle of the garment! ARGH! So frustrating because everything has been cut and sewing down properly and only AFTER I put it on did I notice the error. It looks like something is off when you look straight ahead at the costume

 It’s not very noticable unless you look at it dead straight, but it just irritates me to no end that I didn’t bother to wear it while everything was just pinned down like I usually do >_< This is why I hate rushing, it messes up everything~ And to think everything else on the garment was done so well and carefully, I feel like I’ve ruined the entire costume now *SIGH*

I know a lot of it is all CG, but I see this and think of a cosplay dream come true *______* I’ve always wanted to do Snow White, one day~

Woo! Got around to adding Eureka to eXmotion, and I changed the layout a while back but forgot to mention it here~ I think some of the links in the events section are still down or old, so I’ll fix that soon! I’m not 100% on this layout, so hopefully I’ll have the time to change it again during the Christmas break… not to mention, SuzakuNU will be 8 years old next year. Wow! I should update the layout too hehe

Back from Armageddon! Can’t say I had the best time but it sure was interesting As you can see the costume I made was Eureka from Eureka Seven! No real photos yet, I’m really not that happy with the costume >_< I lost my wig cap so I went without it, terrible mistake! And the side box on her left leg kept slipping off that I eventually took it off all together~ I think the only thing I actually liked were my shoes! They were actually old black shoes to begin with, but with a lot of luck I was able to turn them into white boots!

Not to worry tho, I intend to fix everything up, and do a proper photoshoot on a much sunnier day with Toby’s new SLR camera

But no time for that yet, starting my Egames Expo costume tomorrow since it’s a little more complex and I don’t want to take any last minute short cuts, which is what I always do, which leads to a lot of simple mistakes @_@

Lol, the convention centre car park was full, so I had to park at Crown. Silly me didn’t bring a coat, so I had to walk through Crown wearing my Eureka costume. Oh the stares and comments ahaha, all good though! Nothing negative Aside from that I had a good day, I even bought a Family Guy show bag! XD

My manager is taking the entire team out to a 4 course dinner at Blue Fire this Friday night (for those not familiar, it’s a beautiful restaurant, ranges from $60-80 per person) and they have the best steak and lobster dishes!! The company is paying for it, so free! *_*

….and I turned down the invite to stay at home and work on my costume while I eat steamed vegetables and rice….

Am I a dedicated cosplayer or what!?
